Welcome To Toney's Carnival

OK, all you doggies, now listen up. You are all most welcome to "Toney's Carnival", which is a celebration of the first anniversary of my joining my pals here on DoggySnaps.

Now this Carnival is pretty big - its probably going to take you more than a day to see it all. So take your time. Its gonna be around for some time, so you can visit over and over.

And if you have a favourite snap of you enjoying yourself here, that you would like included in one of the Photo Galleries, then just tell my mom where she can find it and she will add it for all to see.

If you've already done that, but you can't find it anywhere, then I apologise. It's probably got mislaid in the dozens of pictures that I have already received. Just let mom know and I will make sure it gets added.

And of course if you want to take any of these pictures to put in your own kennel, then please feel free. You don't have to ask. He he he. BTW Paul says if you want to copy one of the pictures to upload to DS, then its very easy.

  1. Right Click on the picture and select SAVE IMAGE AS
  2. If its a moving picture then you MUST change the filename. Any name will do, so long as you put .jpg on the end.
  3. Click on the "Save" button.
  4. Upload the .jpg to DS as you would normally.
There are so many side-shows and rides for you to enjoy. There's also plenty of food and drink available at various stalls - and its all free, courtesy of yours truly. Yes, you heard right - its all free! Well, just for Friday - I'm not made of money you know.

The main attraction has to be my Circus (being advertised here by Boswell, Etty and Sandie). Its gonna be great! I've lined up so many wonderful acts - they are going to knock your socks clean off! I'm just bursting to tell you about them, but no, that will spoil the surprise.

So, welcome to you all.

Finally, if you would like to leave a comment, can you do so in the DoggySnaps forum? When you've finished enjoying the blog, just click on the button in the List Of Contents, and it will take you right there.

Your pal, Toney.

Circus - Part One

Laydeeeeeeedes and Gentledogs. It's your pal Toney, here. Welcome to my May Carnival Circus!

I am your host for the day, and I'm sure you are going to be hugely entertained by the acts that I have arranged for you. Before we start, may I add a warm welcome to the many guests that we have here tonight from Canine Hills. It's great to see you guys, and I'm glad that you decided to make this "once only" trip outside the hills so that you could be here. Much appreciated.

Anyways, without further ado, I would like to introduce the first act, which is certainly going to get this show off to a great start. Please put your paws together for "Madame Zeea" the celebrated trapeze artist.

May I ask for complete silence now, Laydees and Gentledogs ......... Drum roll, please, maestro Levi.

Wow! Zeea, that was fantastic! listen to the applause.........

Thanks Zeea. What a great laydee she is. As another famous Toney once said. That was grrrrrrrrrreeat! Well, I'm not sure how we're going to top that!

Now, while we get the next act ready, we are going to be entertained by Trevor the clown from D4. Now, I know some of you younger ones - especially Boswell from SamnLuce - are pretty scared of clowns, but I can assure you that it really is Trevor underneath all that pancake, and he's quite harmless. So, come on down, "Trevor the Clown"!

Thanks Trevor. Now you go off and get that make-up off, cos I know you're on later with the rest of D4. I see the place is now filling up with more of the regular DoggySnaps crowd. Well, you guys have missed the first act of the evening - "Madame Zeea" on the trapeze, but I'm sure that she can be persuaded to provide the Grand Finale to the event, so make sure you all stick around to the end.

For those of you that are in need of refreshment, I can tell you that in the Marquee you will find Desmond's Hot Dog stand and also Knasher's Bar. Its all free tonight, courtesy of yours truly, so enjoy yourelves.

Well, it seems most of us are here now, so its time to introduce the next act and what an act it is! Now these two little fellas have come all the way from South Africa to bring you something special. I can guarantee you won't have seen anything like this before in your lives. What you are about to see is truly incredible. I bring you, the Dynamic Duo that is "Milo and Macky The Canine Canonballs"!

Now, could I ask you that are ring-side to stand back, cos Milo and Macky need plenty of room....

OK, Laydees and Gentledogs, Milo and Macky are ready to go, so can I have a drum-roll please maestro........

3, 2, 1, GO!

Absolutely fantastic! The crowd is going wild! We've never seen anything like it! Let's hear it for the 2 bravest little guys your ever likely to meet - "Milo and Macky the Canine Canonballs".

Well, Laydees and Gentledogs, after all the excitement of the first 2 acts, I think we need a breather, so there'll be a short break in the show tonight. So, why don't you all go outside and enjoy the rides that I have arranged for you. There's plenty to do, and don't forget the food and drinks in the marquee.

See you'all later. Your pal, Toney. Oh, before I forget. My photographers will be out and about taking your pictures, and I'll be awarding a prize at the end of the show for the best one.

Photo Gallery One

Buster snapped this photo of Sascha, Ella and Roo (Rooster) getting into the party mood. "Evening Occifer!" He he he.

Here we have Jessica, Rosco, Foxy, Molly, me, Albert, Teddy, Buster, Jess, Lily, Freddie, Little Mo, Sparkey and Trevor at the coconut-shy. Foxy took this one with some fancy delayed-action gizmo on his camera.

Sparkey captured all the fun of the fair with this piccie of Ben and Kolo on the dodgems. Nice one! "Will Ben please sit down in car number eight!"

Molly has perfectly captured Izzie, Toby, Betty, Macy and Smudge (kennel) enjoying the Merry-Go-Round. Looks like Toby could do with one of Knasher's beers!

Whoa Ella! You're a little bit too heavy for the bouncy castle. Look what has happened to all the doggies! Foxy took this great action pic.

Pippa and Michaela got most of us together for this group photo in my back yard. Great job you two!

Hey look - its Shannon the bearded dog. Now that's what I call a shaggy dog!

Sparkey took this one.

Barney, Casper, Lulu, Mischa and Oscar are "in their cups." Ha ha ha. Poor old Angus seems to have been pushed out, so Molly's keeping him company. Hope Lulu is OK with that. Little Mo snapped this one.

Little Mo got a great pose from Blaze and Thumps who are running the Puppies ChairPlane. Milo, Sparkey, Woody and Macky all look a bit iffy!"Get the sick-bags ready!"

Buddy took this photo of
Ellie and Little Mo riding on Ella, who clearly thinks she got the short straw.

Trevor got this action shot at Herbie's Helter Skelter ride. So there is Mutley (just) then Desmond, Harry, Teddy, Rosco and Lucy. "Get a move on Lucy - you're causing a log-jam!"

Another shot of Buster's - this time of Madames Zelda and Zolga the fortune tellers. I can see a tall dark handsome stranger. "Does that mean Toney is outside then?" Ho ho ho.

Molly took this snap round at the Games and Food bar run by Sir Max, Zeea and Blaze. You wouldn't think Zeea would feel like serving food, after all her exertions.

Rosco's taking it easy and having a drive round the fair on "Bozo's Bus". I hope that clown can see where he's going!

I took this one.

Dottie, Angus and Bailey look a bit apprehensive before going on Knasher's Ghost Train. Little Mo took this one.

Molly took this one of Angus' donkey rides, which Albert is obviously enjoying. Not so sure about the donkey though.

Zoe took this photo of Gypsy Jen giving a reading in her booth. Any idea who's going to win the big game tomorrow, Jen? He he he.

Molly snapped Lucy at her Pigs Ears stand. (She clearly did get a move on from the Helter-Skelter after all). She has two eager customers Milo and Roly, although Roly seems to have dropped his.

Another one of Sparkey's pictures. This one is of Rosie's Cotton Candy stall (Candy Floss to you Brits). Angus, Billy-B and Jess seem to be waiting in line for something. Don't tell me she's run out! And whos that on the Big Dipper?

Trevor managed to lean out of the leading car and get this action shot. Is that Mutley there, looking terrified? My Little Mo looks a bit nervous too, but all the rest look OK. In fact they look positively laid back about it.

Shadow the Storyteller has the full attention of
Alfred, Annie, Bert, Kiva, Floss, Horatio, Jess, Molly, Mr Tiggy-Wig, Ruairi and Fallulah. Trevor took this photo.

Toggle and Button, the sharp-shootin' Cavaliers have won themselves a whole load of teddies at the range. Billy-B took this one. That Knasher sure gets around!

Zahli took this one. I'm not gonna describe it cos there is so much going on. Take a look carefully and you'll see what I mean. Nice one Zahli!

I take time out to be with Little Mo in my garden, while Ozzy and Treacle watch the "Punch and Judy" show. As usual, Judy is getting the stuffing knocked out of her. I can't remember who took this one. Now those two puppets remind me of somedogs.....

Circus - Part Two

Welcome back everyone - its now time to continue with the show. Can I have the lights dimmed please, and may I also ask you to keep the barking to a minimum for the next act. This pair of dare-devils are going to perform a highly dangerous stunt without, might I add, the aid of a safety net. So I don't want any of you trying this yourselves at home. Right?

So, without further ado, performing on the high-wire, may I introduce, the one and only, the incredible, the magnificent Harry and Oscar - "The Great Davenports!"

Oh my word! Get a load of that! There was a real heart-stopping moment there in the middle when I thought Harry was going to fall. I wonder if they meant to do that?

Put your paws together folks one more time for Oscar and Harry, "The Grrrrrreat Davenports!"

Phew! I'm exhausted with all the excitement. Could someone ask Knasher for a beer?

Now the next act sort of brings a lump to my throat, cos its my little brother Sparkey. He's joined up with our dear friend Apollo, who has come over especially to be with us tonight. Sparkey is going to give a demonstration of high-speed bare-back riding. So, put your paws together for "Sparkey and Apollo!"

Awwwww. Will ya just look at the little guy! Ain't he cute? He takes after his older brother, ha ha ha!

Way to go, Sparkey!

Bravo bruv! What a ride! And a little bit cheeky too - I liked that, and so did the others judging by that applause. Lets hear it for Sparkey and Apollo!

Now, Laydees and Gentledogs, put your paws together for a beautiful Laydee. Its the gorgeous Shadow, showing some great balancing skills. And checkout her 2 cute Clown Automatons too. Now who said "Ooooh, look at Teddy and Maxy?" ha ha ha.

Here's "Shadow !"

Wow! Shadow sure is a glittering sensation!

Now, next up are two young Laydees who are appearing in the ring for the very first time, and are budding Davenports. They are probably very nervous, so give them a big paw. I give you "Bella and Holly!"

Hey girls, the crowd loved your act! Take a bow-wow both of you - you were grrrrrrrreat. You'll soon be up there (so to speak he he he) with The Great Davenports.

Send In The Clowns

OK, Laydees and Gentledogs, its time for Boswell to hide behind the sofa again as we "Send In The Clowns!" First up, its the 3 Stooges - Molly, Mo and Buster.

Ha ha ha. Look at them with those custard pies.............. DOH!

Yum, that custard was rather nice actually. Any-road-oop (howdya like my cockney?) next up are those 2 lunatics on 4 wheels - Dessie and Laddie in their clown-mobiles.....

Watch out you 2.......... DOH!

Now that we've cleared away the debris, we can get on with the show. Next up we have Ellie, Buddy and Meg - "The 3 Boxers". Awwww, thanks Ellie, IYQ2. Now it looks like Meg has got some bread or pies all over her costume. Is that some quaint English custom, then? What's that all about?

Next up its those two fun-filled fellas, "Ben and Teddy". Just take a look at those outfits, will ya? Those shoes! And those ties. Oh look - they .....

......squirt water in your face! Ha ha ha!

And you've gotta guess who the next clown is. The one on the uni-cycle....

Yes, its Lexi showing off her skills. She's also bought along 5 automatons for your entertainment. Thanks Lexi!

Yikes! You'd better keep Boswell away from these 2 jokers (Dylan and Angus) or he might wet himself! Michaela and Pippa look friendly enough though.

Awwwww, Boswell, how could you possibly be frightened of Shadow.

and no-dog could possibly be scared of Ozzy!

Now, just look at Jack and Bally, won't ya? Aren't they a scream? And what are they going to do with those buckets? Hey, you two, you wouldn't, would ya?

Ha ha ha. Thats OK, a bit of confetti dont hurt. I fell for it though!
